Francesca Rolla is a dispute resolution partner at Hogan Lovells and leads the Italian Litigation and Product Liability Practice Groups.
She has over 25 years of experience as a litigator, focussing on product liability litigation and torts, bribery and white collar crime cases cases, corporate and commercial litigation and arbitration.
In her product liability practice, Francesca has extensive and diverse experience and has handled most of the major product liability cases in Italy involving cosmetics, consumers products and mobile phones, tobacco, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, vaccines and automotive equipment. Besides handling proceedings in courts and tribunals at all levels, she advises clients on strategies to reduce their potential exposure to litigation and in assessing pre-litigation remedies, as well as on non-contentious issues such as product safety and product recalls.
She has extensive corporate and commercial litigation and has advised and advises clients in D&O, post M&A and joint venture disputes as well as in disputes relevant to commercial contracts, unfair trade practices and unfair competition. Francesca also represents clients in connection with insolvency proceedings and related procedures. She has rights of audience before the Higher Courts and has pleaded before the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court. She also assists clients in connections with bribery and white collar crimes, including with respect to internal investigations and in coordinating the assistance of criminal lawyers in the event of investigations by public authorities.
Francesca is the Italian representative of Hogan Lovells Class Action Unit and of the Hogan Lovells Global Bribery and Corruption Task Force.
Francesca is a member of the International Association of Defence Counsel ("IADC") and of the International Bar Association (IBA) and she is author of several publications and frequently speaks at seminars. She is listed as recommended lawyer in all major legal directories.
