Tim Wybitul is a partner in Hogan Lovells' Frankfurt office and advises on employment and data privacy law, compliance and internal investigations. He is also head of the local compliance & investigations group. Tim has particular expertise in the field of data privacy.
Tim represents corporates in matters with strong international aspects, in particular with regard to cross-border data transfers, discoveries and cross-border regulatory or criminal investigations. From March 2008 to September 2010, Tim led a team of over 60 attorneys which assisted UBS AG with internal investigations initiated by the U.S. authorities SEC and DoJ. He further advises on the implementation, review and operation of compliance structures as well as on general employment and data privacy law matters.
Tim is an associate lecturer (Lehrbeauftragter) for data privacy law for the German University for Extension Studies, Berlin and co-publisher of the German Journal for Data Privacy Law (Zeitschrift fuer Datenschutz). He has authored numerous publications on data privacy and employment law as well as legal aspects of compliance and internal investigations. He has an additional qualification as a specialist employment lawyer (Fachanwalt fuer Arbeitsrecht).
