Evans Rice concentrates in white collar criminal defense, governmental enforcement actions, and corporate compliance. Evans has represented clients in investigations involving allegations of foreign bribery, money laundering, price-fixing, off-label marketing, and obstruction of justice, among others. He defends companies and individuals in enforcement actions across a broad range of business sectors worldwide. He regularly assists clients in developing and implementing compliance programs.
Before joining Hogan Lovells, Evans was a federal prosecutor at both the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia. In 2007 he received the Assistant Attorney General’s award for superior performance in securing multiple trial victories in official misconduct cases. Evans also has significant experience in congressional investigations and previously served as Counsel to the United States Senate Judiciary Committee.
Following law school, Evans clerked for The Honorable Samuel G. Wilson of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia.
